NUMBER ONE passport in the Caribbean and the 24th in the world.

St. Kitts and Nevis recently closed a full visa-waiver agreement with the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncip e. Officials from both nations met in New York, where they signed off the deal.

For investors, the number of destinations available without the need for a prior visa means being able to attend business meetings in one country and check in on the family in another country on the same day. This flexibility is invaluable in this post-covid era.

Prior to the recent expansions to its visa-free roster, the number of visa-free destinations that St.Kitts and Nevis passport holders have access to reach 157. The two-island state ranked 2nd in the Caribbean and 26th in the world according to The Henley Passport Index, which is considered an original, authoritative ranking of all the world’s passports.

Mexico and Israel passports allowed access to 158 countries worldwide and were tied for 25th place. In the Caribbean, Barbados occupied the number 1 rank and 24th in the world with access to 161 countries worldwide.

A few months ago in Serbia, Foreign Minister, Mark Brantley signed a visa-free waiver agreement with Palestine, in addition to Burkina Faso and Gabon, bringing St. Kitts and Nevis’ passport access to 160 countries worldwide, visa-free or visa-upon-arrival.

Discussions had also started back then with the Foreign Affairs Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe, H.E. Ms. Edite do Ramos da Costa Ten-jua.

The recent agreement with São Tomé and Principe now allows St. Kitts and Nevis passport holders visa-free or visa-upon-arrival access to 161 countries worldwide. This places St. Kitts and Nevis ahead of Mexico and Israel and comes even with Barbados as the NUMBER ONE passport in the Caribbean and the 24th in the world.

St. Kitts and Nevis became the #1 passport in the Caribbean with access to 161 countries worldwide, visa-free or visa-upon-arrival.
