The government runs most of the primary and secondary schools in the country, spending 3.6% of the GDP on education in 2020. Tertiary education is provided by public and private institutions like Monroe College, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, etc.
The Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment program requires a minimum donation of US $100,000 to the Saint Lucia National Economic Fund for the primary applicant, by purchasing a government pre-approved real estate property of minimum US$ 300,000 value or investing US$ 300,000 in the National Action Government Bond.
The requirements for becoming a citizen include the primary applicant being a minimum of 18 years of age, demonstrate an absence of criminal records, possess good health, have no outstanding visa refusals and be willing to donate to the Saint Lucia National Economic Fund or invest in the National Action Government Bond or in approved real estate projects.
It takes three to four months, provided the application for citizenship is accurate and complete in all aspects.
The primary applicant’s spouse, children not older than 18 years, children up to 30 years old enrolled in an educational institution, parents above the age of 55 years can be included in the application or after obtaining citizenship for an additional fee depending upon the number of people being included.
